Can we change when we are simply relaxing, soaking in God’s beautiful creation?

Perhaps more changes take place when we are at rest than in the frantic pace of modern life. Silence nourishes our mind and body.  Silence focuses us, brings us closer to the people around us and is a key to lasting peace and contentment.  As we look at the beauty of God’s magnificent works, we realize how great and awesome He is.

Just as your physical body changes

by throwing off old cells and producing new ones,

ones, your spiritual body is constantly being restored.

You are revitalized when you sit in My sunshine,

feeling the warmth of the sun,

hearing the birds chirping and the rustle of the wind through leaves,

seeing the vivid colors of the pink dracaena,

the rust and red of copper plants,

and the soft green of the foxtail ferns.

This is My creation yet nothing is more marvelous than mankind:

having the potential to be like Me and dwell with Me forever.

Reminds me of the words from a great hymn:

O Lord, my God, when I in awesome wonder,

Consider all the worlds thy hands have made.

I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder.

Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

Then sings my soul, my Savior God to thee

How great thou art, how great thou art.

Will we set aside some time during our days to enjoy the beautiful world God has created for our renewal?
