Creativity

My child, it takes time and interest to be creative.

You express creativity when you are not distracted.

I give each of my children a variety of talents.

As you travel you see the beautiful treasures different

tribes and nations create.

Gardening demonstrates the gift of creativity as well.

Recognizing flowers, planting seeds and plants display My gifts.

Allow your talents to flourish in your life.

Genesis 1 tells the story of creation. It says “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”  He saw in his mind what He wanted this world to look like and He spoke the word to make our earth.

Sometimes we envy people with great artistic talents but as the Lord said in this “listening,” it takes both time and interest to be creative. Musicians spend hours each day practicing their instruments. People who create beautiful paintings spend years perfecting their art.

At my age, I recognize gardening no longer is a real interest of mine. Yet, I have two daughters who have beautiful gardens. One plants the many vegetables she eats and preserves. She also has flower gardens. The other has extensive flower gardens which do take a lot of time. They both feel their work in their gardens is therapeutic. The picture below is of a red flower that just bloomed.

Perhaps my talents now lie in writing this blog and sometimes speaking of God’s great love in creating unique people who share their talents showing His love, compassion and care to this world.

One Response to Creativity

  1. Jan says:

Your writing is very creative and it takes practice and patience just like playing an instrument or painting.
