Beauty in My World

There is such beauty in My world.

Yet, people often miss seeing My creative work.

The majestic redwood trees towering in the sky are awesome.

Recall, in Arizona, how you loved the gigantic saguaros –

with their tops and upturned arms covered in tiny, white flowers.

I recall your laughter as your imagination allowed you to see

them as mothers taking their children to church on Easter Sunday morning.

I delighted in your imagination and appreciation of My creation.

There truly is beauty everywhere and I am glad you have chosen a path of living,

which allows you to smell the roses and thank me for their fragrance.

Isaiah 6:3b The whole earth is filled with glory.

In 1996, after we learned my husband had ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and probably would not have long to live, we sold our home and bought an RV. God graciously answered our prayers and the disease did not progress beyond his arms.

During our years of RVing we managed to travel to every province in Canada and every drivable state in the United States. We have seen beauty everywhere from the rocky shores of Acadia National Park in Maine to the Redwoods in California and Olympic National Park in Washington.

God has an amazing creation which we enjoy thoroughly and we know we are very blessed. He also has planted beauty in the blues, purples, pinks and yellows of the flowers in your gardens, in the sun shining on your skin, the blue sky above and the luscious green grass we see each day.

  1. Some people say Christians only attribute the beauties of creation to God. I try to also celebrate the awesomeness, the things that may be threatening to us but which still are part of the majesty and richness of creation!

    • I agree with you Carmen. It is the awesomeness that reminds us of the power of God. Whether it be a storm on the ocean while you are on the rocks at shore, or on a mountain hike and you need to be very careful. I think of God especially at those times!

Although I haven’t seen near as much of God’s creation as you have, Rose, I’ve seen enough of it to know that it contains a lot of beauty.

Best wishes to Bob and you as you continue to RV through various parts of United States and Canada.
