Love and Be Generous

The people who are My followers are generous and friendly.

How can you win the world if you do not make friends?

I made close friends with a very unlikely group of men.

Some were educated, others despised and many labored manually.

In the group was a thief, who I never reprimanded, yet

I was willing to give him every chance to learn about My kingdom.

My kingdom was not an earthly kingdom, it was built on love.

I wanted people to have changed lives.

I still want people to allow Me to change their hearts,

to seek heavenly riches and not earthly gain.

I want people drawn to be My followers because they are kind and loving

– giving their time and resources.

1 Corinthians 13:4-5 (NIV) “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, and it is not easily angered. It keeps no record of wrongs.

Some of the people I most admire are Mark and Beulah Buntain, Canadian missionaries who devoted their lives to God by ministering in Calcutta, India. Mother Teresa is another great example of unselfish love. She said “Kind words can be short and easy to speak but their echoes are truly endless.”  It is so very true!  We often remember compliments and kind words for years.
